THE IDEA

Same card. A different question.

Each card shows a number, a word and an ink color. Only the rule in the banner matters. Choose whether that rule is true before the timer runs out. The rule changes every three cards: early shifts alternate number parity and word meaning, while later ones add ink color and greater-than-five tests. Wrong or missed cards cost a life. Three mistakes end the run. Eight shifts raise the correct-answer target and shorten the decision time to a bounded minimum.

A tip for your next round

Read the banner before looking at the large number. When the rule asks about INK, read the color of the word, not what it says. The short feedback pause is a chance to reset your attention.

Is Rule Shift a medical or intelligence test?

No. It is an entertainment game about following changing rules. Scores do not measure intelligence, diagnose conditions or demonstrate a health benefit.

Why did the rule change after a mistake?

Rules follow the total cards attempted, including missed or incorrect cards. Check the banner every time, especially after the third card.
